Why you should destroy your data

Corporate Security

Companies often handle sensitive information like trade secrets, customer data, and employee records. Properly destroying data ensures this information doesn’t fall into the wrong hands, protecting both the company and its stakeholders.

Compliance

In the European Union, organizations must comply with GDPR, which includes requirements for the secure deletion of personal data.

Risk Mitigation

Data breaches can lead to significant financial losses, legal liabilities, and reputational damage. Destroying data when it’s no longer needed reduces the volume of data that could be exposed in the event of a security breach.

Efficiency

Regularly purging unnecessary data helps manage storage resources more effectively, which can improve system performance and reduce storage costs.

  Organizational Benefits

Keeping data that is no longer needed can clutter systems and make it difficult to find and manage relevant information.

Reducing Liability

Holding onto outdated or irrelevant data can increase your liability in the event of a data breach or legal discovery process. Destroying unnecessary data minimizes these risks.
